5 vacancies as we enter our 1st season on OOTP 22.
Arizona Diamondbacks - Arizona is a pretty solid team, led by ace SP
Mike Costa and slugger
Drevian Williams-Nelson. They have the 25th ranked budget in the league, but they are in pretty good shape payroll wise with no long contracts on the books. Their farm ranks last in the league, but they do have a couple interesting prospects in SP
Bernie Moreno and CL
Vic Bates. They have the talent and money to make a run at the playoffs.
Atlanta Braves - Atlanta is a pretty good team as well, led by stars
Ronald Acuna,
Gavin Lux, and
Juan Ferrer. They have the 13th largest budget in the league, but Lux and Acuna do take up a large amount of their budget room. The farm system ranks 15th in the league and is led by SP
Eric Adam and C
Steve Monsanto.
Detroit Tigers - The Tigers are led by one of the top players in the league, if not the best player in the league CF
Mike Percival. LF
Riley Greene and C
Diego Cartaya also help lead the way for the Tigers. They have been to the playoffs 5 of the last 6 seasons (only miss was an 88 win season). 18th ranked budget in the league, with a lot of room opening up after the 2030 season. 4th best farm system in the league, led by #2 overall prospect CF
Ruben Rivera.
Kansas City Royals - The Royals have made the playoffs 3 straight seasons and are looking to make it 4 this season. They were led by a good GM who decided to take over a rebuild project in the Milwaukee Brewers. All around they are a very good team built around a very good defense and bullpen. They have the 22nd ranked budget in the league and the 21st ranked farm system.
Texas Rangers - The Rangers are a middle of the pack team that could go either direction. They are led by LF
Felix Ambriz and SP
Jonathan Sims, with top prospect RF
Tony Rivera in the wings. They have a lot of financial freedom that an incoming GM could take advantage of.
