The St. Louis River Walkers have placed left-handed relief pitcher Oscar Martinez on the 10-day injured list after he suffered a strained oblique while pitching in the ninth inning of a 5-4 win over Kansas City on April 22.
Martinez, 30, has pitched in seven games this season going 0-0 with no saves and a 2.35 ERA.
He is expected up to three weeks.
Getting the call up from AAA Memphis is 25-year-old left-handed reliever Greg Sones.
Acquired last season in a trade with Cleveland, Sones has pitched in seven games for the Redbirds going 1-0 with a 4.82 ERA.
