I've just loaded a historical game in 1969 to look at the Seattle Pilots roster, inspired by a recent re-read of Ball Four, and noticed that Jim Bouton has a weird pitch arsenal. At least, weird from the perspective of someone who knows very little about him other than the book.
He throws: Curve, Change, Circle Change, Knuckle Curve.
The main crux of the book is that he was pretty much a Knuckleballer in 1969, with a poor fastball and a worse curve that rarely got used. Maybe this could be looked at? In-game Bouton doesn't throw any kind of fastball at all but has two different changeups, which is just weird.
