Any help on this one?

I have O.Charleston starting in CF, Edmonds backing up, vs. L and R. Yet the AI has only used Charleston to pinch hit a couple of times. I've cleared and reset all my lineups, and as you can see in the screenshot below, benched Edmonds for 7 days to try to overcome the AI management. Anyone had anything like this happen? Is there a fix?
