This week shows that there is real potential for the OL/DLL thing to harm OL's structure. A big problem with PT21 was the huge jump between Gold and Diamond. OL are probably looking at an even greater gulf, and an overly high chance of relegation if they have to face DLL regularly. Then the top tiers of OL may end up with poorly distributed teams, and that would suck!

So my Southpaws were a regular winner ---- up until diamond league. We have been basically a .500 ball club week after week in diamond. However, being paired with DLL this week might be a blessing in disguise.
Currently, out of the seven OL teams in diamond, none have a winning record, and 4 of the seven are currently in relegation position. This includes Cary, who are the "first team in relegation position".
I wouldn't mind getting relegated back down to gold where I have a chance of having a winning record for a change and perhaps even make the playoffs a few times before having to move back up to diamond.
