Walkers news: May 29 -- St. Louis 6, Madison 3

Record: 28-24, 4th, 7 GB Cedar Rapids
St. Louis jumped on Madison starting pitcher Jose Luevano for five runs in the bottom of the first inning, the River Walkers rode that to a 6-3 win and snap a four-game losing streak at Busch Stadium (2006).
Beginning with a lead-off single from Freudis Nova, St. Louis put its first four batters on base against Luevano.
That included a two-run double from Jose Segura and an RBI single from Nick Shaw.
Izaac Pacheco and pitcher Jim Martin would drive in the inning's fourth and fifth runs with two-out singles.
Martin's single sent Luevano to the shower.
On the mound, Martin again was impressive not allowing a hit until Trent Rowan singled with one out in the fifth.
Rowan later scored the Muskies first run on a two-out single by pitcher Ben Johnson.
Martin (5-1) would end up pitching 7.2 innings, allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out seven and didn't issue a walk.
Nick Ruffalo got the final out of the eighth, although he did allow a two-run homer from Adam Macklin as Madison drew to within 5-3.
The Walkers got one of those runs back in the bottom of the eighth when pinch-hitter Nathaniel Dixon tripled with two outs off Freddy Cisneros and scored on a Nova single.
Scott Rissler set the Muskies down in order in the ninth for his fourth save.
