Walkers news: May 31 -- Madison 3, St. Louis 2

Record: 29-25, 4th, 6 GB Cedar Rapids
Madison roughed up St. Louis starting pitcher Devin Rogers for three runs in the top of the fifth inning, wiping out a 1-0 deficit, and the Muskies went on for a 3-2 win at Busch Stadium (2006).
The win enabled Madison to avoid a three-game sweep of the River Walkers.
Rogers had allowed just two hits over the first four innings, but immediately got into trouble in the fifth allowing a lead-off single to Kevin Militello and walk to Justin Moore
Moore was eliminated at second when Tim Mitchell hit into a fielder's choice.
Rogers struck out Wyatt Olson for the second out, but he could not close out the inning.
Trent Rowan singled to tie the game.
A wild pitch scored Mitchell to put the Muskies in front.
Former Walkers player Jordan Groshans made it 3-1 with a single to score Rowan.
St. Louis did get a run in the seventh,Jose Segura drew a one-out walk from reliever Lee Twersky and later scored on an Eric Peretz fielder's choice, but despite having the bases loaded with one out the Walkers would get just the one run.
Muskies starting pitcher Ben Hughes lasted four innings, allowing one run on four hits.
Luis Bahena (2-0) earned the victory after pitching scoreless fifth and sixth innings.
Twersky, Chris Conway and Bobby Westerman all pitched an inning apiece.
Westerman earned his ninth save.
