Justin Schneider homered twice, including a three-run shot to highlight a four-run seventh inning, as Springfield downed St. Louis 7-2 at Oracle Park.
Tied 1-1, Schneider gave the Railers the lead for good when he hit a one-out homer off River Walkers starting pitcher Angel Tiburcio in the bottom of the fourth.
Springfield added another run later in the inning on three consecutive singles, the third by Ryan West which scored Mike Murray.
In the seventh, with the score 3-2, the Railers again put together three straight singles, this time off reliever Cory Tiller.
Included in that was a wild pitch, which scored first run of the inning.
Schneider's second homer of the game came off Oscar Martinez.
Railers starting pitcher Marcos Zaragoza (6-5) worked the first 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on three hits. He struck out seven and walked one.
Alan Albanese finished the sixth for Springfield.
Nick Theil followed with a pair of scoreless innings.
Carlos Aguirre allowed two hits but no runs in the top of the ninth.
