Walkers news: June 15 -- Cleveland 4, St. Louis 2
Record: 34-34, 5th, 6.5 GB Cedar Rapids
Will Holland hit two home runs to power Cleveland to a 4-2 win over St. Louis at Busch Stadium (2006).
Holland's first homer came off River Walkers starting pitcher Jim Martin with no outs in the top of the third.
The 416 foot shot put the Juke Box Heroes ahead 2-1.
His second came with one out in the top of the seventh, and it greeted Cory Tiller who had just taken the mound.
It traveled 440 feet over the wall in left-center and made it 4-2.
In between Holland's bomb, Andy Carruthers had homered off Martin in the fourth to make it 3-1.
St. Louis did load the bases in the ninth with two outs, but Jonah Milles got Freudis Nova to ground out to end it.
Cleveland starting pitcher Luke Madden (3-5) allowed two runs on three hits in five innings.
After that, it was Ernesto Barbosa, Juan Munoz and Adam Wenger for an inning apiece.
Barbosa and Wenger are both former pitchers for St. Louis.
Bill Webb was brought in to close things out in the ninth, but could not finish the job exiting with two outs.
The save was the first of the season for Mills.
