Online Major League Baseball

The league restarted with OOTP 22 in the 2021 season. We are entering the 2023-2024 offseason with 6 openings. We are in the start of the offseason after the first year after expansion and realignment. We will be moving to OOTP 23 after the 2024 season.

Background: The OMLB began in 2014 with 2014 rosters in OOTP 15. We ran for 8 real life years, expanded to 32 teams, realigned, and did a lot of innovating especially in the expansion area.

Early last year we re-evaluated and felt hindsight could have been beneficial in certain things along the way. So we made the hard decision to restart in an effort to get as much right as possible from the beginning, and catalog our history better since we'd have the aid of Statsplus from the Start.

We decided to expand from jump so the expansion GMs could keep their teams and get a shot at the expansion process after we tweaked it from experience. The expansion teams are here in the main MLB as it is 2023-2024. We recommend you read the abridged "all you need to know" version of how we will do expansion here. Sim Schedule: Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday - Afternoons (Generally noon- Exports due at 11am- 7 days per sim).

Notable Features:
-No Universal DH. NL still has no DH, and that likely won't change. I want to maintain a place where and of non-DH baseball can enjoy OOTP.
- 26-Man rosters
- 2-8 Ratings scale like the real scouts use with a 20-80 overall and Potential again like real scouts use.
- Full Minors
- Nippon League is maintained as a sim league to produce Japanese players and 2 Independent Leagues are maintained where MLB teams can purchase from during the season.
- Fan Loyalty and Fan Interest Will be maintained at a minimum of 65 by adjusting to that after rollover each season. Anyone above that threshold will stay where they are.
- Note: A newGM can amnesty one contract from his books.
