Three BMU Franchises on the Move in 2301
The Boston Minor Union will have three teams relocating for the 2300 season. While two of those locations will be brand new, the third location is familiar.
It was announced today that the Galleria Robotics Experts and the Outpost Zimonja Strongbacks of the Dark Hollow Pond League will no longer be a part of the BMU starting in 2300. Instead, the Robotics Experts, owned by the Finch Farm franchise, will play in Nahant and be known as the Nahant Shoremen. Also, the Strongbacks, owned by The Slog, will move just outside West Everett Estates, a rapidly growing settlement, and be known as the Everett Mutant Hounds.
Both teams have selected logos and have chosen uniforms. We have attached uniforms pictures to this submission. It is unknown at this time about sponsorship and stadium names, though both Finch Farm and The Slog are trying to work out those details. Currently, the Experts are sponsored by their host, the General Atomics Galleria, and Outpost Zimonja is sponsored by Drumlin Diner. We will update you as we know.
The other movement will be that a team will play in Graygarden Park, which is unoccupied by a pro team this season after Oberland completed its new stadium. The BYDL's Beantown Sprouts has used the field in some games this season. Right now, it is yet to be decided which BMU team will move to Graygarden next season. There are rumors that Abernathy, the owner of the Bunker Hill Gun Fu, and one team from the Downtown Boston League are negotiating a swap. That means that one of Atom, Goodneighbor, Jamaica Plain, Quincy, University Point, and Warwick would have its affiliate in Bunker Hill next season, while the Abernathy affiliate would be playing in Graygarden. Again, we will update you as we know the results or have further information from the CBO Headquarters.
