The St. Louis River Walkers have placed center fielder Jose Segura on the injured list after he suffered a strained rib cage muscle in the team's 7-1 win at Columbus on June 25.
Segura, 29, has batted .254 with 14 homers and 46 RBIs in 73 games for the Walkers this season.
Getting the callup from AAA Memphis is 28-year-old outfielder Carlos Gallegos.
Gallegos, a right-handed hitter, has played in 71 games at AAA this season and batted .322 with 12 homers and 45 RBIs.
This will be Gallegos' first trip to the majors.
