1 June - NWL Announces Best Batter Award: For a rookie just breaking in, Phil Roachrider certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the NWL Batter of the Month award for May.
The 28-year-old left fielder for the Victory Cave Crickets hit .440 with 9 home runs, 27 RBIs and 41 runs scored.
Roachrider has a .435 average and a .566 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 67 hits, 13 home runs and driven in 35 runs.
Nuka World League Selects #1 Starter in May: John Diner was a long shot to make the Victory Cave Crickets this year, especially being a 33-year-old rookie. Now the Victory hurler has parlayed a 4-0 record into the Nuka World League Pitcher of the Month award.
In May, he chalked up 29 strikeouts in 49.2 innings and compiled a 2.17 ERA.
This year Diner has registered 7 wins and no losses in 11 starts with a 1.58 ERA while registering 51 strikeouts and 18 walks in 79.2 innings.
Left Fielder Nabs NWL Rookie Award: The premier first-year player in the Nuka World League last month was Phil Roachrider. Victory's left fielder put up some big-time numbers in May to haul in the Rookie of the Month Award.
Roachrider hit at a .440 clip while collecting 9 home runs, 27 RBIs and scoring 41 runs in 27 games.
Thus far this year Roachrider is hitting .435 with 13 home runs, 35 RBIs and 57 runs scored.
2 June - No Comeback This Season for Steadman: In a news release, the Quantum Nukalurks announced that shortstop Rocket Steadman would miss the rest of the season due to a fractured elbow. Steadman sustained the injury on 05/31/2300. He "will be sorely missed," said his manager.
Thus far in 2300 Steadman is hitting .203 with 7 home runs, 25 RBIs, 21 runs scored and has compiled a .315 OBP.
3 June - BNN Top 100 Prospects List Updated: With the mid-season mark upon us, now is a great time to update the pre-season BNN Top 100 Prospect list with what we have learned to this point. This year 21-year-old SS Rowan Gardener of the Victory Cave Crickets is the #1 prospect overall.

4 June - Painted Ghouls Ham Porter Wins NWL Award: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Nuka World League, but last week Ham Porter of the Grape Painted Ghouls reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Porter rocked opposing pitching for a .458 average (11-for-24), 2 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award.
To date this year Porter is batting .291 with 5 home runs.

NWL B League Selects May's Best Batter: Not known for his offensive prowess, Hyp Joyner set the league afire in May and took home the NWL B League Batter of the Month award.
The Orange B third baseman posted a steady .318 batting average, 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 12 runs.
This season Joyner has banged out 46 hits in 133 at-bats for a .346 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .463 pace and his totals also include 19 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
Pitcher of the Month
Tourists Starter Named May's Premier Pitcher: Craig Rose really strutted his stuff in May with 4 wins and 2 losses and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month Award in the NWL B League. The Orange B starter was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition.
In 56.1 innings of work, Rose limited opposing batters to 36 base hits and a .179 batting average. He totaled 49 strikeouts, issued 5 walks and had a 0.96 ERA.
In the current season in 10 starts, Craig Rose has a record of 6-2 with 60 strikeouts in 78.1 innings and a 1.49 ERA.

Rose Acclaimed NWLB Player of the Week: Pitcher Craig Rose of the Orange B Tourists was overpowering last week, earning the NWL B League Player of the Week award.
He won 2 and lost 0, struck out 18 in 15 innings and registered a 0.60 ERA.
Rose has made 11 starts, tossed 85.1 innings, struck out 68 batters and walked 10. His record is 7-2 with a 1.48 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .197 batting average.
