Interesting idea!
I've only just bought the game but I was thinking along similar lines using English and Welsh County Cricket teams to make a British Baseball League. Maybe have to drop in a couple of fictional Scottish teams too (for the benefit of our North American friends, cricket is primarily played in England). Could be interesting using real player names and roles... for bowler = pitcher, wicket keeper = catcher, etc. etc.
