The St. Louis River Walkers have announced that outfielder Jose Ramirez is expected to miss up to seven weeks with a strained oblique.
Ramirez, 30, suffered the injury during an 7-4 win over Cedar Rapids on July 25.
It's been a rough season for Ramirez, as he's batting just .203 with nine homers and 38 RBIs in 88 games.
Getting the callup from AAA Memphis is 32-year-old outfielder Wayne McHaney.
McHaney has batted .295 with six homers and 30 RBIs in 77 games this season for the Redbirds.
