Walkers news: Sept. 19 -- Wigfall to miss 2035 season with elbow injury
As if the 2034 season has not been bad enough, the St. Louis River Walkers have already gotten some bad news when it comes to next season.
Right-handed starting pitcher Xavier Wigfall has been diagnosed with a torn flexor tendon in his pitching elbow and is expected to be out for up to 14 months.
The 2034 season had been a pretty good one for the 25-year-old Wigfall, who went 9-8 in his 22 starts with a 2.71 ERA.
