MBL news: Sept. 25 -- Des Moines is first time to clinch postseason berth
The Des Moines Harvesters defeated the Springfield Railers 9-6 on Monday to clinch the National League South Division title, and be the first team to punch its ticket in the Midwest Baseball League postseason.
The win gave the Harvesters (97-60) a 6.5-game lead over second-place Quad City with five games remaining in the season.
