The Akron Flying Feet claimed the title of the American League East Division on Tuesday, despite an 8-1 loss to Fort Wayne.
The Feet (87-70) own a six-game lead over both Cleveland and Toledo with five games remaining in the season.
Akron, however, will have a tough time catching Grand Rapids for the best record in the American League.
The Traders are 91-66 and own a four-game lead over Fort Wayne in the West Division standings.
The division title is the third for the Feet, and their first since 2025.
Akron has never won the MBL title.
