The Grand Rapid Traders will get to defend their 2033 Midwest Baseball League championship, after they clinched the title of the American League West Division with a 2-0 win over Fort Worth on Thursday.
The victory puts Grand Rapids (92-67) four game ahead of Fort Wayne with three games left in the season.
The Traders will own home-field advantage in the American League championship series, as AL East winner Akron owns a record of 87-72.
The division title is the fifth for the Traders. Their most recent came year ago, when Grand Rapids earned its only MBL title.
