Walkers news: Oct. 24 -- St. Louis names bench and hitting coaches for 2035
The St. Louis River Walkers have announced that Buddy Carlyle will serve as their bench coach and Christian Colonel will be their hitting coach for the 2035 season.
Carlyle, 56, is receiving a promotion from AAA Memphis where he has served as manager of the Redbirds for the past four seasons.
The Redbirds won three Pacific Coast League titles in that span, including in 2034.
Memphis went 90-49 during the 2034 campaign. The Redbirds also won championships under Carlyle in 2032 and 2033.
Carlyle also spent four seasons in the MBL as manager of Fort Wayne.
The Mad Men won the World Series in 2027.
Carlyle was the manager of the Twin Cities Snow Cats in 2026.
Colonel, 52, comes to St. Louis from the Norfolk Tides, where he has been their hitting coach since 2024.
The Tides made the playoffs five times during his tenure, winning a championship in 2029.
