Agree with "Bottom of the Sixth" post. Gold is achievable if your a serious F2P player AND you don't make any mistakes. I made a number of them this year...
1. I ran 3 teams which divided my time 3 ways. I always seemed to be in a rush which, of course, made for rushed (bad) decisions. next year = ONE team period. I'll probably pull 3 teams, but only focus on the best starting roster.
2. I think I screwed up on Missions by not having a plan. For the most part, I simply completed whatever I could - but feel like I spent a lot of Points getting rewards that I didn't need. For missions to pay off, you have to know exactly what your trying to get and how to get there. I never spent enough time planning that out. Thus - the real question is, do I do missions or just stick with the AH and packs?
3. The AH will help you out a lot in the early months of the game, but as the months wear one (like now) it's unlikely you will find anything useful there that is affordable.
4. Packs = Ugh. My luck with packs in PT22 has been HORRID. I can't shake the memory of getting 2 Perfects in PT19 in the first week. This year it must have taken me 3 months to get 2 Perfects.
One team next year, I think, will be easier to manage and hopefully will be more rewarding. "IF" the OOTP team makes some improvements for "friends leagues" to help us out there, that would go a long way to keeping the F2P guys happier.
