Ryan Palmer hit a solo home run off St. Louis relief pitcher Nick Ruffalo with one out in the top of the ninth inning, giving Peoria a 2-1 win at Busch Stadium (2006).
Palmer's seventh home run of the season came on a 1-1 pitch.
It traveled 376 feet over the wall in right field.
The Rivermen had tied the game in the top of the sixth against River Walkers starting pitcher Edward Kunselman.
Victor Solano scored the run after he led off the inning with a single.
Solano stole second and moved to third when Randy Underhill singled.
Solano scored when Johnny Castagnozzi hit into a double play.
Peoria starting pitcher Carlos Amill went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits.
Former Walker pitcher Lenyn Crisp (3-7) earned the win for pitching scoreless eighth.
David Flores set St. Louis down in order in the ninth for his second save.
