We finish at Atlanta today and the Braves are pitching Sergio Valdez (4-4, 2.72).
The Giants have Scott Sanderson (8-6, 2.93).
I have hit 2 for 9 against Valdez.
I kicked things off by flying out to Jerome Walton in right.
I took are of an Andres Galarraga grounder for the final out of the 1st.
I then did the same to Valdez for the final out of the 2nd.
Tim Naehring homered in the 3rd.
I came up with two out and hit one to the walk in right-centre for a double.
I was left on.
Giants lead 1-0
I came up in the 5th with one out and Tim on 3rd.
Tim scored on a passed ball by Terry Kennedy.
I struck out.
Giants lead 2-0
I got the first out in the bottom of the 5th off a Brad Komminsk grounder.
I caught a Ken Griffey Jr pop for the 3rd.
I then handled a Ron Gant grounder for the 1st out in the bottom of the 6th.
After that, though, Andres Galarraga scored on a Gary Sheffield sac fly.
Giants lead 2-1
In the 7th, Ryan Klesko scored on a single by Tim. (Good day for him!)
I came up with two out and Tim on 2nd. Steve Farr was on the mound. I walked.
Then Lonnie Smith walked, loading the bases.
Passed ball! We all movedup and Tim scored.
Lonnie and I were left on.
Giants lead 4-1
Komminsk led off the bottom of the 7th with a homer.
I caught a Griffey pop for the 3rd out.
Giants lead 4-2
I got the 1st out in the bottom of the 8th off a Ron Gant grounder.
Mark Williamson came in to pitch the 9th.
He got the first two but then Eddie Williams hit a pinch home run.
I made a GREAT play to get Jerome Walton to end and give us the 4-3 win!
I went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
We are now only two games behind the Dodgers, though they also traded for Tom Henke today.
Tomorrow we are in Houston.
