Jackson Miller's return from the injured list lasted just five games, as the St. Louis River Walkers have placed him back on the 10-day injured list after he injured his back in an 8-3 win over Kansas City on July 1.
Miller, 33, who missed five weeks earlier in the season with a thigh injury, has batted .295 with two homers and 16 RBIs for St. Louis this season.
Getting the callup from AAA Memphis, is 26-year-old Mike Winchester who will be playing in the majors for the first time.
For the Redbirds this season, Winchester has batted .310 with five homers and 23 RBIs in 40 games.
