Walkers news: July 18 -- Walkers send Caudell and Pazos to Indy for prospect
The St. Louis River Walkers have announced a trade with the Indianapolis Racers.
St. Louis will send 26-year-old minor league starting pitcher Alex Pazos and major-league outfielder Zach Cadell to the Racers in exchange for Class A closer Ken Henry.
Pazos has gone 4-2 in 15 starts with a 2.93 ERA for the Redbirds this season.
He also has made 34 starts at the major league level for the Walkers, going 4-15 with a 5.41 ERA.
In his first season in St, Louis, Caudell, 27, has hit .160 with one homer and five RBIs in 51 games.
In Henry, St. Louis has acquired a ninth-round draft pick in the 2033 draft.
The 23--year-old has split time between A and high-A this season, going a combined 2-4 with 17 saves and a 2.17 ERA in 35 games.
The trade was primarily made to bring outfielder Hector Tavarez to the majors, after he has played very well at AAA.
