As expected Indianapolis takes 2B Daniel Corona. The 6'3” 200 pounder is 21, almost 22, born in Puerto Rico. At UCLA this year he hit .305/.422/.603 with 15 2B 7 3B 14 HR 57 RBI 31 SB and 23 K to 45 BB In 57 G and 289 PA. The OSA has him graded a bit higher than our scouts. He's a legit middle-of-the-order bat who can do it all. + speed and a gold glove. He's played some SS which I am expecting a potential move there. I don't see drafting a 2B as the top overall pick. His intangibles are off the charts. No real debate with our pick and I allow minimal discussion, no reason to overthink this.
