The St. Louis River Walkers have placed right-handed relief pitcher Angel Tiburcio on the 10-day injured list, after he had to leave their 7-6 loss to Cedar Rapids on August 28 with an elbow injury.
Tiburcio, 35, has pitched in 47 games this season, going 2-1 with three saves and a 4.54 ERA.
Getting the callup from AAA Memphis is 27-year-old right-hander Chris Eason.
He has gotten into 45 games for the Redbirds, going 3-2 with 18 saves and a 3.04 ERA.
This is the first trip to the majors for Eason.
