the ability to assign a farm team to your echl affiliate like having an sphl team instead of sending players down to semi-pro (i.e. the atlanta gladiators having the peoria rivermen as an affiliate)

Being able to create and offseason tournament for teams in different countries and leagues (you could do this in the old eastside hockey manager game) (i.e. the washington capitals host a tournament with teams- the hershey bears, bracknell bees, Hc Davos and dynamo moscow)

the ability to inquire about a certain player and see what that team would like in return for trading that player to you (in return for Jack Eichel the sabres would accept 3 1st round picks and Adam Fox)

the ability to stop a player from retiring

voting on awards like the Vezina

ability to bring back WHA into a standard game (if possible they can have IHL as their affiliate)
