The St. Louis River Walkers have announced that Brandon Backe will serve as their bench coach for the 2036 season.
Backe, 51, has spent the past three seasons as the manager of the Cedar Rapids in the Midwest league.
He replaces Buddy Carlyle, who turned down an opportunity to remain with the Walkers.
