I watched Kris vs TJ last night, but only one player had complete control. Entertaining, but of all the updates, I can't believe head to head over the internet has not been included?
Adding that in has been discussed for a long, long time. I think there hasn’t ever been real movement on that front because I just don’t think the majority of players necessarily play like that. Instead they play the GM, set their lineups, etc. and play in leagues, or they do pure solo play. To set up a 2 player game you probably have to set up a dedicated server (it’s considerably harder on the player for one user to act as a “host”, change firewall settings, etc.) and then essentially fashion an entirely new aspect of the game that acts as a thin client on at least one end (even if you set one player to run the game engine) and then constantly push out and receive updates / respond to user input / etc. That’s not a trivial add.

I think it’d be really cool to be able to set up some kind of setup to replicate what we did in SOM leagues back in the day: get everyone together on Discord and then pair off to play games a series at a time. Is it a big enough potential market to put it in / go through testing / etc.? I don’t know. Perhaps with the revenue stream from Go! they can explore this in more depth…
