WAR is a nice easy stat to focus in on because it seems to give a complete picture. I value it more for hitters than pitchers. I don't know how OOTP calculates its WAR exactly because pitcher WARs are non-logical. A pitcher with a 7-5, 4.32 ERA can have a better WAR than a pitcher with a 10-1, 2.56 ERA, and I just do not see how that could ever be possible.
Case in point, the current SCA WAR leader is Bow Rome (8-6, 4.38) with a 4.2. The wins leader, Chris Deathclaw (11-5, 2.83), has a 1.8 WAR.
Only 56 more years until the bombs start falling! Future welcome to the fallout, baby!

Yeah, while you've been away there's been a few threads (in general chat) talking about how pitcher evaluations might not be very good, and it matches with personal experience. In my "for fun" save I had a young pitcher win a triple crown, have a 20 win season, have a perfect game, and not even come close in any award voting. He's never had a season quite that good again (it was his rookie year, and he didn't even get close to a rookie award!) but he's been consistently good, and his only ever honor is making the all-star game. He's won bumpkis otherwise. I guess maybe it's because he plays for Atlanta and the team overall sucks on that save file
