Still a bunch of possible permutations as we enter the final week of the 1947 regular season. Here's a quick rundown.
Lincoln Association
Toronto and Cincinnati have booked their spots in the playoffs as Champions of the Posey and Catto Bands, respectively, with the Maple Leafs looking almost guaranteed of the #1 seed.
The Walker Band is a real dogfight, with Jacksonville, Kansas City and Temple all still in with a chance. J-ville and KC are in the middle of what is a key head-to-head series that may well decide things.
Keokuk is on the verge of taking the first WC slot, with its MN down to 2. My CAG looked to be in control of the other one, but a 2-9 stretch put paid to that and now we have a real uphill battle, with our final series against Toronto. 6 teams still have a chance to see post-season action.
King Association
The Wilkinson Band is still a red-hot go, with Brooklyn and New York tied and just 2 ahead of Rochester. The Cubans-Red Wings series to close things out looms large. Only the team who prevails here will advance.
Norfolk has locked down the Rickey Band, with Wilmington also moving on via the second WC.
In the Chandler, both Pittsburgh and Taunton are locked and loaded for the playoffs, but the Band title is still up for grabs. Their series currently in progress may well sort this out sooner rather than later.
