Then if I select ANY of the drop downs for Stats or Ratings, EVEN Goalie stats, it resets to - RW-C-LW-RD-LD-G

I totally agree - the roster re-sorting is a real pain. It impacts you for every season you play and for multiple times within each season.
Given all the fixes to sort minor issues, surely time should be made to fix something that happens very very often.
