Abdul-Nasser bin Amr drew a lead-off walk from Thunder relief pitcher Michele Vassalotti to open the bottom of the seventh.
bin Amr then stole second and advanced to third on a wild throw by catcher Raul Callazo.
Bob Saavedra then snapped the tie with a single.
Callazo's second error of the inning, this one on a wild pick-off throw to first, advanced Saavedra to second.
Saavedra would score on a two-out double by Manuel Coke off Kakuro Sugimoto.
At one point, the River Walkers trailed 3-1.
They tied it with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Manny Martinez scored the first run on a wild pitch by Pascal Marcovicci.
Martinez had walked to lead-off the inning.
Marcos Francis later scored bin Amr with a single.
bin Amr had followed the Martinez walk with a single.
St. Louis rookie Kevin Hrdlicka lasted 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. He struck out eight and walked three.
Scott Rissler finished the sixth inning, and worked a scoreless seventh.
Rissler (3-1) would earn his third win of the season.
Nick Ruffalo (0.1 IP) and Brennan Weldon (0.2) combined on a scoreless eighth.
Nick Strother pitched around a one-out double by Collin Allen in the ninth for his seventh save.
