Well that was humiliating...
Tim Gates didn't have it, and neither did the rest of his teammates in what has to be the worst playoff loss in terms of margin that the Rays have suffered and now they find themselves on the brink of elimination. It seems like we're in an odd-year, even-year pattern with the Rays having won the Series in the last 3 even years and eliminated in the ALDS in the odds, and 2039 is unfortunately an odd-numbered year.

Ex-Rays had a big influence on the day's events. Jesus Castrello had a 2-run homer to help Cleveland knock off Houston, who saw former Ray Jon Soranno get knocked around. Eric Carter allowed 3 runs for Columbus to enable the Cubs to tie their series, and Andy Aparicio and the Rockies forced a Game 5 as well with Jon Jimenez reaching base 4 times in the win.
