Knockemstiff were all set to buy long term targets Clemens, Johnson and Speaker (subject to availability), when the team's new accountant pointed out that it made a whole lot more financial sense to get them via the missions.
It took several days of heated discussions to finally persuade management, who initially had no intention of completing ALL the missions. But, when it was explained that the move could set up the finances for the future acquisitions of Babe Ruth, Mariano Rivera and Walter Johnson, it was settled.
A week on, about 2 million pp spent, and I haven't actually added a single player to the team yet... But I'm only about a dozen cards from getting all the way to Tris!
I've really had my fill of the AH now though. I don't think I can take it for another version...
