Edward Kunselman took a shutout into the top of the eighth inning and improved to 9-0 as St. Louis downed Green Bay 5-1 at Busch Stadium (2006).
Kunselman (9-0) allowed just three hits in his time on the mound while striking out six. He did not walk a batter.
The lone run for the Mallards came in the eighth when Brent Senecal doubled with two outs to score Austin Clayton.
Clayton had led off the inning with a double.
Kunselman got Alberto Landaverde to ground out to end the inning.
Ron Cox alowed two hits but no runs in the ninth to seal the win.
The game was scoreless into the bottom of the sixth when the Walkers broke through against Green Bay starting pitcher Alex Duarte.
Jackson Miller doubled with one out and scored on a two-out single by Nick Shaw.
The Walkers broke the game open with a four-run seventh.
Reliever Alejandro Velazquez walked two batters to open the inning, before giving up an RBI single to Chris Duncan.
Bob Saavedra did the rest with a three-run homer.
