Ah, but I'll get only one Killer B without making a special effort. Bobby Bonilla was in the Pirates farm system, left unprotected for Rule 5, and was selected by the White Sox. After he played a few months for the White Sox the Pirates traded for him.

Bonilla broke into MLB with the White Sox so they get him in this save. Have to wonder who was the 40th player the Pirates protected and what happened to him.
