Walkers news: Sept. 19 -- St. Louis 10, Quad City 0

Record: 88-58, 1st, 6.5 GA Cedar Rapids
Josh McDonald took a perfect game into the seventh inning and ended up with a two-hitter as St. Louis blasted five home runs in a game it routed Quad City 10-0 at Fenway Park (1975).
McDonald (13-7), whose team already led 6-0 didn't allow a base runner until former River Walker Daniel Becerra led off the bottom of the seventh with a single.
The only other hit McDonald gave up was a two-out single to Jacob Gonzalez in the eighth.
For the game, McDonald allowed just the two hits while striking out 11 and walking nine while posting his second shutout of the season.
Offensively, St. Louis wasted little time putting the game out of reach.
The River Walkers sent 11 batters to the plate in the first inning against Thunder rookie starter Ryan Falk.
Manuel Coke and Nick Shaw both hit two-run homers among the first four batters.
McDonald later drove in a run with a bunt
Bob Saavedra plated the inning's final run with a ground out off reliever Jeff Young.
The rest of the St. Louis scoring came in the eighth off reliever Angelo Touliatos.
It came as the result of three straight home runs.
Coke was first with a two-run shot.
Marcos Francis and Shaw followed with solo blasts.
