I use service time and age to set roster limits. If you try to move a player to a level for which he is not eligible the game won't let you. If the AI releases guys with good potential that's their problem. It means the scouts for that team don't think the guy has a future. Sometimes they're right, sometimes their wrong. I've always used the RL service time limits but have never been sure what age limits to use and that's especially true now that there is no Short Season A level. If you don't mind me asking, could you share what age limits you use?
