With the regular season rapidly winding down, I'll keep this post short.
Not that much has changed. The Avs continue their uneven play in 2023 but also remain solidly in the playoff picture, with almost no chance (I haven't crunched the numbers so it is possible that we are a lock).
A look at updated standings and a team overview:
The only current injury is to RW
Aleksandr Yermolayev, who is day-to-day but game unavailable with bruised ribs. Veteran recent addition C
Christian O'Ferrall continues to play very well for us. Given that he has a reputation as a big game player hopefully that will continue into the playoffs. 30-year old LW
Tommy Lockhart (15 goals, 26 assists, +8, GR: 69) has been playing well and has probably been one of our best players flying under the radar all season. Same is true of free agent acquisition RW
Cedric Langevin (12 goals, 30 assists, +15, GR: 66), who I haven't mentioned much but who has been a good addition thus far.
