We're back in it...
As bad as the offense was in the first two games in Anaheim, it was that good tonight as the Rays pounded the Angels to claw their way back into the ALCS now down 2-1.
Heston Kjerstad, who seems to be our offensive icebreaker these days, homered to lead off the 3rd, then drew a bases-loaded walk with two out in the 4th to make it 2-0. This opened the door for a 2-run single from
Kody Hoese and a 2-run double by
Heliot Ramos. This was more than enough for surprise starter
Drew Rasmussen, who got the Game 3 nod over
Joe Ryan with the idea we'd rather have Rasmussen go in a potential Game 7. And Rasmussen rewarded my faith by shutting out LA for 5 innings before running out of gas in the 6th. Ryan will try to get the series even tomorrow.
