I mean, if my (limited) experience actually trying to manage a team in this game has taught me anything, luck is indeed usually the key factor

The past three seasons with my current team in my my save 1) AI gets them to the World Series. 2) I take over, make no changes, play sub .400 ball. 3) Due to budget cuts, my team gets weaker via losing several key players, I'm now playing .700 ball
