North Charles Association Picks Top Player: Zeldolph Violet demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the North Charles Association Player of the Week Award.
The Starlight first baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .435 average (10-for-23) with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.
So far this season Violet has hit .298 with 8 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 23 times.
Laughy Collects Player of the Week Award: It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Ricky Ticky Laughy, the Oberland T-51s 23-year-old center fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for South Charles Association Player of the Week honors.
He ripped 8 hits in 18 at-bats, compiling a .444 average with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs.
So far this season Laughy has put up a .284 batting average with 38 hits, 11 home runs and 33 RBIs.
