Victory Cave Crickets: Signed free agent 2B Mo Journeyman to a minor league contract.
NWL Player of the Week Named: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Nuka World League, but last week Ham Porter of the Grape Painted Ghouls reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Porter rocked opposing pitching for a .600 average (12-for-20), 3 home runs and 11 RBIs to come away with the award. Porter has collected 56 hits for the Painted Ghouls this year, 11 of them home runs. He has also netted 44 RBIs and scored 40 runs while batting .352.

Week's Top Performer Honored by NWLB: So far in his young career, Yes Jeanrip has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the NWL B League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 22-year-old Orange B Tourists first baseman hit at a torrid .429 clip as he collected 9 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
In 42 games this season Jeanrip is batting .257 with 39 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 25 runs and driven in 17.

APYL Awards Best Batter Prize to Mendez: It was announced today that Safari Adventure shortstop Sugar Bomb Mendez snagged the Amusement Park Youth League Player of the Week Award for his outstanding play last week.
He posted a .452 batting average as he collected 14 hits, 2 home runs and 5 RBIs.
This season Mendez has hit 6 home runs and posted a .342 batting average.

FLAAA Star of the Week Honored: At the age of 28, Chris Miller might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Echo Lake AAA catcher put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .571 batting average. For his efforts Miller collected the Fog League AAA Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 4 hits in 7 at-bats, 3 home runs and 4 RBIs last week in 4 games.
This year Miller is hitting .364 with 20 hits, 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and has scored 11 runs.
Atoms Bubbles Smithson Swings Hot Bat, HLAAA Winner: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Harbor League AAA, but last week Bubbles Smithson of the Grand Hotel AAA Atoms reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Smithson rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (5-for-10), 3 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award.
This year Smithson is batting .201 with 31 hits, 8 home runs, 23 RBIs, 21 walks, .300 OBP and has scored 21 runs.

Reliable MDIF's Best of the Week: It was announced today that Beaver Creek right fielder Eric Reliable was selected the Mount Desert Island Four Player of the Week Award for his superb play last week.
During the week he compiled a .467 batting average (14-for-30) with 6 home runs, 11 runs batted in and scored 10 runs.
So far in 2301 Reliable is batting .333 with 12 home runs, 29 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 36 hits in 108 at-bats and a .410 OBP.
Paddiewag: Big Hit in the Great Diamond Island League: The Echo Point Glowers received word today that first baseman Trevor Paddiewag was selected Great Diamond Island League Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games.
Paddiewag took full advantage of all 27 plate appearances last week as he hit .455 with 10 hits, 7 home runs, 14 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
Thus far this season in 29 games Paddiewag is batting .398 with 19 home runs, 38 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 39 hits in 98 at-bats.
