Hello everyone,
Thank you for lettings me join this forum. I am a old school hockey fan. I was a kid in the 80's. I really enjoyed the offense era of the 80's. Players like Lemieux and Gretzky putting up 150 to 200 point seasons. Each team had a guy or two around a point a game, Even a few defensemen in the NHL could avg. a point a game. By the year 2000 the NHL became so defense I lost interest.
Here is my questions to the board....
1. Is there a way to adjust the settings or sliders so when the cpu plays the cpu. The game will simulate at a higher offenses out put? In todays NHL the avg goals per game from both teams is 5.5 I want to get this to 7.5 per game. At 7.5 goals per game between both teams. The stats will mimic the offense era of the 1980's.
2. Is there a way in the league settings. to go back to the old school point system? For example, 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a lose. I want to do away with the free point just for going to overtime. Also do away with the shoot out and all the creasy things added in the last 20 years?
Thank you for your help.
