Peacock Bags NCA Best Player Award: 22-year-old Ajani Peacock sent shock waves through Commonwealth Baseball Organization last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the North Charles Association Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Peacock made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .600 average, 12 hits in 20 at-bats, no home runs and 8 runs batted in.
Where the County Crossing Bloodbugs first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Peacock certainly made his mark last week.
To date this season Peacock is hitting .323 with 2 home runs.
SCA Star of the Week Picked: Barker Cocoa has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 22-year-old first baseman of the University Point Deathclaws had a hot bat in the South Charles Association over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors.
Cocoa batted .400 with 6 hits in 15 at-bats, 3 home runs and 12 RBIs.
Cocoa is hitting .369 in 2301 with 52 RBIs and 20 home runs. At this point in the season, he is considered to be the frontrunner as the CBO MVP.

Analysis
We're now at the midway point of the season, and the playoff picture is starting to take shape. In the NCA, Nordhagen Beach (#1) appears to be the prohibitive favorite, while University Point (#2) has used a few struggles by Diamond City (#7) and Vault 81 (#5) to take a three-game SCA lead.
Abernathy (#3) and Salem (#4) burst into the Top 5 this week. The Witch Hats were #2 just two weeks ago, but a down week last week knocked them out. While going only 3-2 this week, including a 20-5 loss to Easy Town (#13), Salem is considered one of the Top 5. The Adamantium also went 3-2, splitting with the Hats and then beating Starlight (#17) 2 out of 3.
