We are back!!! We are sitting at 56-47 and in the 2nd wildcard spot.
Here are the AL standings!

It is now August 1st, 2025, so let's recap the transactions in the last 6 weeks or so.

June 14th - Hans Crouse strained his hamstring and still out for another 4 weeks. Ricky Vanasco has been recalled from AAA and made 7 decent starts since being recalled.

June 22nd - Ky Bush partially tore his labrum and missed 5 weeks. Currently on rehab assignment in AAA. Mason Thompson has been recalled from AAA and been very strong in 6 starts since being recalled (ERA below 3).

July 3rd - Signed OF Marvin Ramos as an international amateur free agent.

July 9th - Traded Luke Weaver and 24 yr old pitcher Jose Viola to Atlanta for Alex Wood. Alex Wood is under contract for next year at $10m, but they are retaining 75%.

July 17th - Trade former starting CF Leody Tavares, former 1st round pick Cole Winn and a MiLB glove first infielder to Colorado for former 12th overall pick (and soon to be 24 yr old) 2B Colby Halter and corner OF "prospect" (MiLB org filler possibly) Drew Gilbert.

July 31st - Traded relief pitchers Brandon Bielak and Luis Amaya to Colorado for cash.
Purchased the contracts of Franco Aleman and Jack Walker from AAA.
Traded RP Kevin Ginkel to Cleveland for back infielder Owen Miller. Chris Seise was optioned to AAA to make room for Miller.

Here is how our pitchers have done so far.

Kohei Arihara continues to have an up and down year. He made 5 starts in June and his ERA was almost 9. Then he made 5 starts in July and his ERA was under 2.

Here is how our batters have done so far.

Josh Jung and Colton Welker are both having nice seasons, but Evan Russell really came out of nowhere to be the team leader in HR currently.
We really liked his eye/discipline when we acquired him from the Reds (he was 8th overall pick for a reason I guess).

Next update will (most likely) be an end of regular season update.
Hopefully we will be getting prepared for the playoffs!!
