Mark Sartain led off the top of the 10th inning with a solo home run off St. Louis relief pitcher Nick Ruffalo to break open a scoreless game and help give Twin Cities a 1-0 win at Busch Stadium (2006).
Sartain's 10th homer came on a 1-1 pitch from Ruffalo.
It landed 401 feet over the wall in right field.
Brent Autin was the starter for the five pitchers who combined to shut out the River Walkers.
Autin allowed just one hit over 5.2 innings. He struck out four and walked three.
Tommy Lynch finished off the sixth inning. He also worked a scoreless seventh.
After that, it was Mike Harney, Jerry McCune and Brian Dowdy for an inning apiece to close out the win.
McCune (2-0) earned the win. Dowdy notched his eighth save.
