Will this be the final season for JD Martinez? Not based on his performance it won't be. JD turned 42 on August 21, 1998. Martinez may be having his 3rd or 4th best season of his career, so if it turns out to be his last one, it's quite the swan song. He's hitting in the .330's, with 37 home runs. He just crossed the 1500 rbi threshold for his career. Thing is, prior to this season, JD has been on a steep decline over the last few years. This is why I love this game. The little surprises along the way.
